Sydney John Ironman. He spent his life as a builder, carpenter and craftsman. He supported the Essex Air Ambulance by making beautiful wooden air ambulances and filling them with his beautifully grown geraniums, all the money he raised was to support this amazing cause. He never had cause to use them but greatly admired the work they did and continue to do. He then sent cheques to Essex Ambulance Service two -3 times a year. He was a true craftsmen who's attention to detail was second to none. He didn't shout about it but just sat in the background quietly working, he was a modest man, but a quiet hero to all who knew him. His hard work and inspiration will be missed beyond words, a true Englishman, he loved his country and loved to be useful and helpful. In honour of his memory we would like to raise money at his funeral, wake and going forward, please give as little or as much as you can, dad would never have asked anyone to donate what they could not afford, but every penny counts, there are so many causes that he supported and protested over his lifetime, but this was particularly close to his heart. Dad passed sadly but peacefully on April 6th 2022. Loved and respected by all who lnew you, we knew you simply as Dad, but the world knows you as a quiet humble hero.
